An introduction

I currently am shaping the future of virtual pet care at Fuzzy. Fuzzy is my second foray into the pet industry, with the first at Ollie selling subscription dog food. I also spent just shy of 6 years at Priceline designing first for the flights experience before moving to focus more on the horizontal vs a specific product vertical.

I am a problem solver at heart. Rather than stick to a set process, I adapt to the current siutation and pull from my ever growing toolkit. I believe in setting clear goals and then having an open sandbox to achieve those goals. No designer can do it alone and nothing makes me happier at work than getting to work with a group of smart, fun individuals. Faciliting interactive collaboration sessions is one of my specialities.

A goal of mine has been to grow my management and coaching skillset. At Fuzzy I've had the opportunity to hire 4 full-time designers with an additional 2 contractors. For 2 years at Priceline I was in a player/coach role where I had my own set of IC responsibilities, while coaching a subset of the design team. Through listening and understanding the needs of each designer, I give them the guidance they require while leaving them room to navigate their own path forward. At Fuzzy, Every month I pick a different topic and conduct an hour long workshop as a way for the team to learn a new skill.

When I’m not designing, I can be found at the ice rink figure skating, in the studio dancing, or at home getting caught up in a good book that may or may not be about vampires, fairies, werewolves, or assassins. I love to travel and prior to the 2020 was trying to do a new international trip every year. I have Iceland booked for winter of 2023!
