👋🏼 Hi, I'm Annelise. I'm a staff product designer who's spent 15+ years making hard things feel simple — for travelers booking flights at Priceline, pet owners navigating care at Fuzzy, and entrepreneurs managing payroll and taxes at Justworks. I build practices as much as products, and I'm drawn to work where the systems are complicated but the experience doesn't have to be.

Beyond the pixels

Good design practice requires knowing your zoom level. Some problems demand a view of the full system — the service, the handoffs, the parts nobody owns. Others ask you to slow down and work through a single moment until it's exactly right. The skill isn't in the zooming — it's in knowing when to do which.

My design superpower is alignment. There's something powerful about creating a visual artifact that lets a room full of people — engineers, product managers, executives — finally see the same thing and move forward together. That's where design earns its leverage.

I'm energized by discovery and the collaborative work that makes it possible — facilitating workshops, building shared understanding, and helping teams figure out what they're really solving for before committing to a solution. I'm also increasingly interested in AI as a design material: what does it mean to design an experience where AI is the product, not just the assistant?

When I’m not designing, you’ll find me figure skating at the ice rink, working out at the gym, or at home cuddling with my pup, Finnegan, while getting lost in a good book. I love to travel, and some of my favorite memories include rafting down the Sava Bohinjka in Slovenia, enjoying great wine in Istria, exploring art galleries in Santa Fe, and hiking a glacier in Iceland.
